Dan Tapiero says Bitcoin's bull run is still on, but a 70% downturn could follow

Macro investor Dan Tapiero is still betting big on Bitcoin's current bull run, predicting it'll hit $180K this cycle. But here's the catch: he's warning that a brutal 70% correction could follow once we peak.

Despite recent risk-off vibes and heavy selling from OG whales, Tapiero insists the bull market is far from over. 'I think the macro backdrop is still positive,' he told Cointelegraph in a raw interview.

Tapiero argues that Bitcoin's latest ATH didn't even reflect the massive fundamental upgrades in its ecosystem or the increasingly bullish macro environment for digital assets.

He points to three key drivers propping up this cycle: the explosive growth of stablecoins, institutional adoption going mainstream, and clearer regulation finally bringing maturity to the space.

But don't get too comfortable — Tapiero warns that Bitcoin's signature boom-and-bust cycle isn't going anywhere. Even in a more liquid, developed market, deep corrections are just part of the game.

Still, his long-term outlook is absolutely nuclear. 'If you have a 10-year view,' Tapiero said, 'Bitcoin minimum should do $1 million over the next 10 years.'
