Grayscale launches two trusts linked to Sui ecosystem protocols
Grayscale announced the launch of two single-asset trusts linked to the Sui ecosystem on Tuesday amid a recent surge in activity on the network.
Grayscale just dropped a bombshell with the launch of two single-asset trusts tied to the Sui ecosystem. This move is all about giving accredited investors a slice of the action with DeepBook and Walrus tokens, marking a significant step almost a year after Grayscale first ventured into Sui products.
DeepBook isn't just any platform—it's an onchain order book that's already smashed through $10 billion in volume. Then there's Walrus, the go-to for programmable data storage, which bagged a cool $140 million from big names like Standard Crypto back in March 2025.

“DeepBook and Walrus are the financial and active data management backbones of the Sui ecosystem, enabling developers to build fast, secure, and decentralized applications,” - Rayhaneh Sharif-Askary, Grayscale head of product and research.

Sui's DeFi scene is on fire, hitting a record $2.3 billion in total value locked before settling at $2.2 billion. Launched by Mysten Labs in May 2023, Sui is all about speed and efficiency, thanks to its parallel transaction processing.
Mill City Ventures made headlines by becoming the first publicly traded company to dive into Sui, raising $441 million with a whopping 98% earmarked for Sui tokens. Their shares have skyrocketed by 274% in just a month, proving the crypto gold rush is far from over.

“institutions, their clients, and retail traders outside of traditional crypto platforms can have unprecedented exposure to the Sui ecosystem.” - Adeniyi Abiodun, Mysten Labs co-founder and chief product officer.
